but only one can win!
Our sweet pirate pad at work, with the addition of the pirate flag I made last Friday. All handsewn, and lemme tell you, this thing is M-A-S-S-I-V-E! Much longer than I am tall (which isn't saying much) but the skulls are like, 3 feet big and stuff, not including the lower jaw. It's huge. But it was super fun to make. I work with the coolest people in the world.
The other photo is of a few of our piratey crew- one of our animators and our technical director. Good times.
Thanks to Dan for hanging the crazy thing and getting stuff all in his face from the ceiling doing it. Yuck.

He always took the time to speak with me
Something I started/finished working on today. Originally it was for Illustration Fridays topic "Late" but other than that clock... I don't know how it relates. I haven't had time to draw in my sketchbook much lately, but this weekend has been an exception. I want to finish it by Christmas-ish time, so I best start cracking. I also picked up American Gods and Coraline from the bookstore. It's about time I started reading again.
It's about time I started doing a lot of things again.

the skeletons are hidden in the closet
Just some of the postables I made for Halloween at JJ. Felt, twins, George Washington... these are a few of my favorite things. Now that I'm looking at it, we really rolled out a ton of content for Halloween! Hope you like it!

some monstaaaaarz
Welcome to the Space Jam.
I've been experimenting in trying to find a style of plushie I like to make, and I think this might be it. They're fun, even though they take a little longer to make and cut. They feel more cohesive than just makin' any ole thing.
You also just got a sweet sneak peek at my new shoes. They look like penny loafers. It's good times.

he's got stars in his eyes
I really don't have time to update with anything significant, so here's this. It's amazing. I wish I had the time/energy/madness to make something like this.
Also, expect lots of plush business soonish. A super awesome lady from the UK bought like half my store this morning (for christmas presents I am assuming), so I have to re-stock like mad. I wish I had a little sweat shop of children working for me... for cookies. Oh well. WE CAN ALWAYS DREAM.
P.S. I love the fact that my plushies live all over the world now. It's a warm fuzzy feeling on the inside.

"i'm a sincere person..."
Note: Anytime you need to remind someone you are a sincere person, you aren't. Gagggg, Top Design is such a garbage show.
Anyhoot, a zombie lady for the new month/season. The cool kids at work are finishing up our zombie video (which features me and some of my fantastic co-workers dancing the Macarena) so I was in a festive zombie mood tonight. Plus, I haven't sewn anything in a few days (burned out) and decided to draw something on the computer. But now I must retire for the night for fear I'll be a zombie at work tomorrow, so goodnight!
