happy halloween!

Here's some of my favorite pumpkins I've found online (I'd show mine, but I donated it to the Hallow Halls thing for the kids, and it got smashed on Sunday. But it was awesome, a little bear with a glowing heart.) Other than that, I hope everyone enjoys their halloween celebrations- I'll be out dressed as George Washington! (Ben's going as honest Abe.)

super plush update, woot.

Business card/"freebie ads" in progress.

Just some recent plushies I made. From top to bottom: Espresso the bear, Nooni the neon cat, Olaf the cyclops, and Raspberry the bunny. I'm also working on some commissions at the moment for friends- a sea creature a la` Loch Ness for Arrolynn, a fat black housecat for Erin, and a Maya gremlin for Cat (she needed something to physically hate whilst rendering.)
I finished the gremlin today, so pictures of him soon. I'm also supposed to see about a possible commission for Sandra tonight, too, so that's very exciting. Oh, and I'll be opening up my Etsy store soon, for non-Ringling-based folk, and for when I move after this year. I'll post the link when I have that up and running (have to upgrade my paypal, etc.)

southwest project

I chose to re-design all the employee uniforms (male and female) and then the cabin seating. I'm not sure I'm totally sold on the seats... I'll see what everyone else thinks in crit, I guess. The project presentation is Thursday, and we're in pretty good shape for that. After that it's Time Life books, so that's pretty exciting. Hopefully I get something I won't end up hating by the end.

new work soon

Here's half of my part of the Southwest rebranding so far. Might shoot my lino block print later, it's pretty okay.

Updated! We went out on a plush photoshoot around campus, and took some much better photos of my plushies. Here are the fruits of said labor.
*If you're interested in adopting one of my plush pals ($10) just leave me a comment with which one you like. I also do commissions. :)

shooting fish in a barrel

All my plushies in their new nest-box made of cardboard and bedcovers in the studio... They want to be adopted.

Oh yes, and the 2nd Illest of Ill show was this last weekend. Very fun, totally packed. I worked the sticker/t-shirt booth during some of it, and people were going nuts over the stickers. I always find it funny watching people chooose... anything, really. They're all so careful and meticulous. My favorite sticker by far was the girl with a pig, its popped into my new sketchbook. Megan had some really nice ones, too. (Her sketchbook is a-maz-ing.) Oh, and special thanks to Joanna Misiti for doing awesome designs and helping us out at the booth during the rush!

Other than that, just keeping up with homework, sga, next-step conference, and everything else I've thrown myself into this year. AND researching places to work. (Geesh.)
