big ole week

Big week, I got featured on Drawn! on Monday, and just yesterday Shannon over at Rainbow Fabrics featured my plush owls (3rd store down!)

I'll also have some work in the new Ringling Made-By store, run by Nancy O'Neil. I believe it opens next month, so if you're in that neck of the woods, look out for some of my older work, and some new keychains I'm sending along soon.

This guy, name of Bosco, is also up in the store as of today!

ADDY award pictures

Ringling finally posted the ADDY award winners, so I thought I would link you guys to my piece(s), in case you missed it at last years graduation ceremony. I ended up winning a Gold local ADDY, and a Silver regional ADDY.

Anyway, if you're perusing the Ringling site, check it out.

Oh yeah, and because I'll (hopefully) be moving soonishly, I must link you to this, because it's one of the few things keeping me sane. It's so friggin' beautiful, I would die a happy death if I could live in a place half a cool as that.

sensual seduction

So, I think some 'hooray's are in order for myself and the rest of the Ringling College class of 2008 (or 3008, depending on your level of in-toxicity.) Tomorrow is GRADUATION DAY for us, and I am beyond excited. I'm probably going to trip or something crossing the stage, or go the wrong way exiting like I did in high school... but oh well, I EARNED THAT DAMN TASSEL, DAMNIT. I'm hoping the diploma that pops up in my mail in a few weeks as honors on it- I have worked my butt off this semester to earn that piece of paper.

Last night was the cruise, and the night before the Senior buffet- both were good. The boat was loud, but oddly relaxing. The buffet was silly and fun. Oh, and I'll post some pictures from my portfolio show sometime soon, they're all on Ben's computer right now.

In other news, I'm spending some of my graduation presents (monies!) on a digital sewing machine. My dad and grandmother thought it was a great idea, so I can really start to expand my etsy store with some better quality plush creatures. I am very excited to finally upgrade- I can finally do some embroidery stuff, too!

Oh yes, and tonight we're seeing IRON MAN, so that's gonna be pretty much amazing. We're all going as a group... it'll be a nice ending to Ringling-time, hanging out with the people I've had some of the best times of my life with. Plus, Robert Downey, Jr. <3<3<3

updates of sorts

This might be one of those posts that's a little all over the place. Oh well!

Other than the two websites, I've been working on a lot of little things in between meetings and presentations and the like. I just got over being sick for an entire week, so I feel a little behind in everything, even though I'm not.

Here's a coaster I worked on for the new Admissions packet Lenna is doing for the Design Center. She asked some of us to draw a little scene for a coaster to represent the top ten reasons someone should come to Ringling- mine was "you can have a full life- including swimming with the manatees" blah blah blah. I noticed how they skipped the part about all the wonderful construction. :P

This is my updated version of the HSSC website- I traded out Munson the dog for a Lhasa Apso named "Just Jack". It's due tomorrow, so I probably won't have time to put together everything I wanted to, but I'll get to it once finals are over.
