Some pictures I took using Instagram on my iPhone during our week long trip. We started in Temecula (California) then traveled to Flagstaff (Arizona) then Monument Valley (Utah) then Arches National Park neat Moab (Utah) then to Salt Lake City (Utah) then back down south to Zion National Park (Utah) and lastly, Las Vegas (Nevada) and back to Los Angeles. It was by far the best road trip I've ever been on.

I found a sketchbook and started working in it again a few weeks ago. The cover says "Peeves" and it's made out of the Perspectives magazine. (Thanks, Ringling!) I never notice my dependency on the color yellow until it's staring me right in the face. It's a sunny color. Very apt for a California winter, I guess.

Figure drawings from work (which has been suspended until 2012), and the text in the third is from A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, which I completely ripped apart for an altered book only because it was thick and had a long title. Pieces of it's insides will show up now and again in lots of things. There's also weird diagrams and things inside, which I collect all magpie-like.

But I'll tell you, dear reader, it sure feels good to be working again. There were weeks (months?) that I was writing a lot, a lot, but not drawing, or making monsters, or doing anything with my hands other than typing on the ol' computer. Now I'm trying to balance things again, but who knows how long that will last, since winter is always that part of the year I hate the most and have a tendency to drop off the side of the world.

In an unrelated note: Did you know Iggy Pop does the backing vocals in Rolodex Propaganda? Go listen to it. I'll wait. ............Yeah! That's totally him! He's amazing! Don't you just want to high five that dude? Yeah, I know! Me, too! Iggy Pop is the coolest. Remember when he was on Pete & Pete? Crazy.

Spent most of this week in San Francisco, the city of... something or other. I don't know the city's motto. The City of No Left Turns, perhaps? So, I was visiting for bridesmaid business. I'm Queen of the Bridespeople, you know. All shall fall before me! Except the bride, because she owns my ass.

I might have started a tumblr also, soooooo there's that. I'll be updating that with bits of my zombie story for NaNoWriMo and maybe other things, because it doesn't require me to be logged into my stupid old gmail account like blogger. (That is why I do not update this more often, because it's not connected to my normal email account. If someone knows how I can migrate this thing to that account, I'd be forever grateful.)

So, long time, no post. I wish I could say I was busy, but I really just forgot my blog existed for a bit there. But I have been drawing a bit. We got a great group of interns this year at the old JJ, and it reminds me of the best parts of Ringling, i.e. drawing all the time. Thursdays are even reserved for cafe sketching down the street. It's grand.

This, however, is from one of our wednesday in-house figure drawing sessions. I colored it digitally in photoshop. I'll also try to be more diligent about posting things here. *nods*

IN OTHER NEWS. The San Diego Comic Con starts TOMORROW and Justin and I will be there with bells on! Not really. I mean, we will, but not with the bells. Monsters. We will have monster shirts on. But yes, BOOTH 2206, right near the super huge DC Comics Pavilion. It's massive, right in the middle of the convention center floor, you really can't miss it. He's selling lots of cool prints and shirts and things, and I'll have monsters for sale like this guy!

So, with that enticing bit of self-promotion all over, uh... I guess I have nothing else to say! COME VISIT ME/US. :D

I rather think he's angry because he's feet aren't big at all, and all the other sasquatches [sasquatchi?] make fun of him relentlessly. (Tiny feet are a sign of genetic weakness!) THUS, HE IS SO ANGRY. He would be better if he had a cup of tea, I think. Tea can be soothing.

There's also some math in there, because, you know, math is cool. And I do a bit of it now and again.

Ha! So! I look very tired, no? It's because (sadly? Not sadly? I honestly cannot tell if this is sad or totally normal) I've been staying up late (for me that's around midnight-1am) to play Dragon Age. To play through it. Okay, twice. Because it's awesome. If you haven't played it, it's awesome. Typical fantasy RPG killing-is-totes-hip-guys type murder spree with lots of chatty-chat. And because I wanted to be Queen, and you can't do that if you're an Elf because everyone is RACIST in the game, I had to re-play as a human. SO, 70+ hours later, here I am. Tired. But very satisfied. And about 4 hours into the expansion because I just cannot help myself. Also, QUEEN.

But you might be wondering: why does she look like a ghoul if she's just getting 5-6 hours of sleep a night? BECAUSE I AM PART BEAR, MY FRIEND. Fun fact: My mother was a grizzly bear that escaped Yellowstone National Park in spring of 1983. She met my father, who is human, I assure you, and fell in love (YES BEARS CAN DO THAT) and two years later they had me. I totally look human, but I require 9-10 hours of solid sleep per day, otherwise my load bar simply does not load. It's like 70%, and you're tapping the computer and going "why in the hell won't Hot Tub Time Machine fucking work. This is shit."

So, in conclusion, this could basically be a snapshot of me today. (My shirt is even green.) But it isn't, BECAUSE I DREW IT. Mmhmm. Yes.

I went to Disneyland with Justin yesterday, so here's a drawing! It was really hot yesterday, thus the moody look. The park was very crowded, but I did get on some of my favorites. And I'm very excited for the opening next month of the (long-awaited) Little Mermaid dark ride.

A few weekends back we went to the Long Beach Aquarium again, and it was utterly fantastic, again! These are pictures I took with the Toy Camera app I have on my iPhone. Despite all the children and people talking about "how tasty that _________ looks" (we wondered if they say these things at the zoo, too... does that koala look yummy?) the aquarium is very relaxed. It reminds me very much of going to Jungle Gardens back at school and drawing the animals. It also makes me miss Ringling quite a bit.

Anywho. Good luck to those of you in school and thesis-ing. It's that final push that's the toughest, because you have to worry about the future while trying to focus on the present, but you all can do it!

Someone (me) TOTALLY did some figure drawing last Wednesday. She was a great model, and I got there first, so I got my favorite pose time, 1 minute. There were a few more than these, but they sucked, so consider this the best of the best of... that day.

evolution of a sketchbook Part 1

I've been working pretty steady on my book for The Sketchbook Project, so hooray! Sketchbooks, even though I keep like, at least 2-3 at any one time, are pretty difficult for me to be fully done with. I usually have to just do the last page, shut it, and put it away, otherwise I will noodle the hell out of it for the rest of eternity.

I've had this sketchbook for a few months now, and decided to post some of the old versions with their new re-worked versions below them, so you could see a little bit of how I'm constantly going back into pages. Sometimes it's just another scrap of paper, another bit of color, another piece of tape, and then I can finally let it go.

I will post all the spreads I have done so far (there's like 10 or twelve) tomorrow. Only 5 pages left!

2010 Year in Review

Hi all-

So, work! A lot of you have been wondering what I've been up to at the ole JibJab, so I thought I would post some of my additions to the 2010 Year in Review. These are always fun, because the last two years we've been doing them in a more handmade style, rather than purely digital, or live action, like most of our content.

For the most part, I created whatever the animators needed extra help with in the sewing department- everything from puppet hands (I think there's only one or two in the entire short I didn't end up making) to Oval Office curtains to American and Gay Pride flags, to a TON of finger puppets and just random little dudes to fill up background scenes. I also helped paint and puppeteer some of the smaller scenes. Lots of it goes by very fast, but I grabbed some of my scenes below.

It was especially fun getting to work with Justin again, as he did most of the concept and visual development we ended up using for the puppets and backgrounds.

Here's some shots from the short of my puppets.

This is the American flag I was asked to make. It actually has all 13 stripes and all 50 stars. WOOT. AMERI-CUH! I also sewed a gay pride flag (twice) and it was RIDICULOUSLY hard to make. You would think 6 stripes would be easier, but no. No sir. You would be wrong. The puppets in this scene were created by Romney.

This is a background that actually got cut from the final, but it's the Oval Office I helped make curtains for.

Other than that, I've been playing lots of Wii and trying to finish up my book for the Sketchbook Project. It's due in about 2 weeks, and I only have 4 pages left! Woo! The word polaroid is really like the word bandaid. It's an instant photograph/adhesive bandage, but we know it best by its brand name. Anyway, on with the show. Took a whole slew of pictures over the weekend, so here ya go, all... right in a group-style.

I went hiking with friends in Arcadia (waterfall, mountains), and took pictures of the puppy-slug hybrides (seals) in La Jolla. Beautiful place, La Jolla. Dr. Suess lived there, they even have trees that look like his truffula trees from the Lorax. There's also pictures of me that Justin took, and the start of a portrait project I'm working on. The idea is that people will have their picture taken making a face that they think is them. Uniquely them. Justin & Oliver were tests to see what lighting and distances work best.

Anywho, more pictures soon!

We went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park (not the zoo, but affiliated) a few weekends ago, and here is photographic evidence! We fed lorikeets, Justin pet a hissing cockroach (the man is dressed as a cockroach, fyi), we watched a ridiculously horny Bighorn Sheep get disgruntled... all in all, a great day.

Also! I am [finally] updating the shop with new things, so check it out, if you have the time and energy! Birds, lots of birds... and some other fun things perhaps! I also have a show next sunday in Encinitas called ZigZag, so if you're in that area abouts, come say hello! 11-3!

I haven't been updating this much, mainly because I've been a unique combination of busy and lazy (my usual excuse, I know.) But! I have still been making things, both of plushy-types and drawing-types, and I will scan/photograph those soon. I promise. Sort of.

In other news, I got an instant camera (fujifilm still makes them) yesterday and I took some photos. Yay. I've also been listening to Andrew Bird a lot, specifically Noble Beast, so that's a double rainbow of yay. (He wears lots of vests and suity things, it makes me smile. More boys should dress like that.)

So, I've been like Jezabel McNoPosting lately, and I'm super apologetic about that, but I've been busy. Ish. Busy-ish. With, uh, work, and the holidays, and mostly playing Red Dead Redemption. Some of my sketchbook pages so far for the Sketchbook Project. I have a few, uh, 2, months left to finish it. Only 50+ pages to go, ha ha ha... ha. Then again, it is MY sketchbook, so I can do whatever I want with it. Ultimate power, you are mine!

This last one is in progress. I tend to go back and forth and back and forth multiple times with pages like these until they have everything I want them to have. Sometimes its just one more dash of color, or a lyric, or a word, or doodle, and BAM! DONE! I'm still wavering on the cover as well, since it doesn't say everything I want it to yet.

In other news, I have a show in Carlsbad next month, the second Queen Bee Market, and I have lots to complete for it. Some new products, some new plush... it's all very exciting. If you're out that way November 12/13, you should come by, say hello... slap me a high five like we're old friends.

Because blog-friend, we are old friends. The oldest, in fact. Especially in internet time. It's like magic.

Speaking of magic, anybody see that Owl movie? We did, and it's rad. Like, Clock of Bad rad. So bad it's rad. You know? But seriously, there's worse things you could spend your money on. (Like hookers and blow, if this were the 80's.)

So, PlushYou!LA was a big hit! Justin & I went to the opening last Thursday at Munky King, which is a super cool little gallery down on Melrose. I was one of only 65 artists from around the world that was chosen for the show. It was super awesome to be able to be apart of a show in town that celebrates plush.

Rico, Freddy, and Finn, three tiki dudes on a mission to be Awesome. Developed these over the last few weeks. Probably going to do a big version (these are about 8 inches tall) for PlushYou! LA at Munky King in October. Should be super colorful and possibly, quite rad. Who knows?

In other newst, I've been sketching and collaging in multiple sketchbooks. I'll post that stuff soonishly, too, if I don't get too busy. And by busy, I mean forget completely. Also, I'm working on a HALLOWEEN COSTUME IN JULY (because I'm crazy) and this year I'm going as Velma Dinkley, from Scooby-Doo.

I've always had a soft spot for Velma, because she's basically the secretly sexy nerd girl we all want to be, AMIRITE? Plus she's one of the few characters in the history of animation that is, ahem, short and wears glasses (otherwise she is practically blind), JUST LIKE ME. Maureen is going as Daphne Blake, so if anyone wants to complete our set (Freddy? Shaggy? Maybe even a makeshift Scoobert?) feel free. We're gonna nerd it up.

I've been super busy helping Justin out with Comic-Con (we'll be at Table F08 in the Exhibitors Section, by the way) so here's just some random photos from the Indianapolis Zoo. We recently visited my super awesome family in Indiana, and visited the zoo, the art museum, and blew up a ton of rockets and mortars. Best birfday ever. Everytime I go home, it makes me miss Indiana real hard when I get back. At least this time I took pictures of my family.

So, I have been making new things lately, like some crazy New-Thing-Maker of sorts, and I thought I would share. Some birdy brooches, a new horse/zebra girl, and... ZOMG IS THAT A NOTE CARD SET?!?! Yes, yes I am branching out to paper goods. (The section is small, but it's fierce.) I'm working on a new commission of cheapsters birds, and I also might have another show July 10th... then there's Comic-Con with Justin, and Tiki Oasis. WHOA. Busy busy.

But for now, here's the stuff!

I also made this for Jordie. You may not know her, but if you do, you know she's rad, and has an even radder (the raddiest?) blog, possibly ever, and especially if you like movies and monsters and cool things of that nature. (Who doesn't?)

If you know me at all, you know I am obsessed with zombies, zombie apocalypses, and being prepared for said disaster. I also have a keen appreciation for TREEHOUSES. So, combining those loves was easy, because if given the ability to prepare before a zombie apocalypse, I would (obviously) build myself a badass treehouse town, a la SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON.

So I bought this dress on Etsy a few weeks ago-

And I'm short. 5 feet 2 and 3/4's inches, actually, so I hemmed the heck out of it this morning. I also changed the buttons, because they were old lady buttons, and I thought they would work better on one of my art dolls instead.

So, now it's about a foot shorter, with more modern buttons, and super fun to bounce around in. Thanks to Justin for the sweet pictures in our parking lot at work!

Justin & I spent our 3 day weekend during President's Day/Valentine's Day in Palm Springs. We did the Living Desert (its like an all outdoor zoo that focuses on desert animals) on Sunday, along with some biking around Palm Springs main strip. Then Sunday we explored the Palm Canyon, and hiked for about 2 hours, including some climbing around in the canyon and waterfall area. All in all, it was one of the best weekends I've ever had, despite the super crappy motel room we had to stay in (it was the beginning of Modernism Week, so there were ZERO rooms.)

This is a sand cat. He only has 3 legs. I love him so, so much.

Palm Canyon is crazy beautiful, if you're ever in Palm Springs, do yourself a favor and go hike it up in there.

Long Beach Aquarium Adventure

Last Saturday Justin and I went to the Long Beach "Aquarium of the Pacific". It was AMAZING. I took a ton of photos, over 300 I think, and these are the best of the best. They had a batray touch lagoon, a lorikeet feeding area, giant crabs (lolz), divers feeding the fish in the tanks, seals, starfish, it was fantastic. If you get the chance to check it out, I would seriously recommend it.

LAS VEGAS and Calico Ghost Town

Las Vegas is basically a big gift shop that lights up. It's fun, but intense. Unless you plan on getting drunk, gambling, or seeing one of the 50 friggin' Cirque Du So-laaaay shows they have there, it's just... a lot of walking and a lot of people DOING the above things. And the food is expensive.

The Luxor is pretty cool, and despite it's tackiness, Excaliber has just about everything (except snow globes. Ahem.) Basically if you want any sort of souvenir, go to New York New York. They also have a really fun, but super janky (and also expensive) roller coaster outside.

Calico, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. It's slow paced... There's not a lot of people running around boozing it up... It's a ghost town. A few hundred years ago, Calico was home to over 80 families, and a thriving silver mine. Now 8 people live there full time.

Walter Knott, of Knott's Berry Farm fame, bought the town a few decades ago, fixed it up, and turned it into a tourist trap, but a surprisingly fun one. (It's now owned by the city of Yermo, I believe, who has the most incompetant firefighters I've ever encountered in my life. THEY DON'T CARRY BAND-AIDS. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!)

Anywho. Here's some of our finer (mis)adventures there.

They also had a sweet gift shop filled with dinosaur stuff. I thought Justin was going to freak out.

Like old-timey photobooths, automated fortune tellers are a big weakness of mine. I know they're totally goofy, but I cannot seem to help myself. Plus, it's only 25 cents! And he talks!

This is the creepiest photo I've ever had taken. I think I'm gonna make it my facebook picture.

Nearing the end of our time at Calico, I fell down a hill and scraped up my arm pretty bad. You can't tell here because it's both covered in hill dust, and the scratches haven't scabbed up yet. The firefighters/first aid people gave me some wet gauze because "it wasn't that bad"- IT STILL HASN'T FULLY HEALED 3 WEEKS LATER. Ugh. Yermo sucks.

But anyway, after Calico we came home to Culver, and since have had many more adventures. Pictures from those soon, and a new deer girl, and a new bunny girl, too! I've been busy!

Road Trip: Second Leg

We drove through Oklahoma, the top of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. These are some photos from that leg of the trip. The Grand Canyon was absolutely amazing (and HUGE), and the Flintstones diner we ate at afterwards was pretty fantastic, too.

Missouri has these fantastic little 7elevan type stores called the Kum & Go. ENDLESS source of amusement. They even sell boxer shorts in the store that say "Kum & Go" on them.

We visited the "Fantastic Caverns" in Springfield, Missouri. Beautiful. Only drive-thru cave in the country.

Roadtrip: Indiana

There was 10 inches of snow our first day there. It was 18 degrees.

This is my whole family (minus my aunt Linda, who was out of town), including 4 Cousins, Grandma, 2 Uncles, my Dad, and Justin. I love them all.

We're planning on stopping in Missouri, and the Grand Canyon, so pictures will be posted upon my return.

So, I'm currently working on a commission from Jackie Lam, who runs the Cheapsters blog, which finds fun (cheap or free) things to do around the L.A. area and posts them. She wanted some plushies of her logo, the cheapsters bird, for Christmas presents and blog giveaways. There's ten of them in this batch, and here's some of my progress.

My work desk is a total mess- covered in bird fluff, deer girl dress parts, and plushies, but these are coming along pretty awesomely. They're made of fleece instead of felt, so it's a new medium for me, very exciting. I also put Ellie up in my etsy store, and she'll be available there until Unique L.A. in December.

Oh, and coming to you from TatPar Productions, a new side project Justin and I have started working on (it's in the development stage now.) If you think of The Omen, Children of the Corn, and Eight Legged Freaks, plus babies who have freakish red hair, you have a pretty good idea of the plot. Here's the movie poster rough, a collab between Parps and myself.

Me and Frank the Bigfoot at the show. In the top left, you can see the plush I purchased! He has antlers!

So, my pieces for the PlushYou! show are available online, in case you'd like to purchase one of them. Geoff the Giant Squid and Frank the Bigfoot! They don't have any info up on the site, but they're both made of felt, hand-sewn by me, and stuffed with polyful. The squid is gi-normous, at 3 feet long, and the Bigfoot is a around 18 inches tall.

I'll also be making some more deer girls (and bunny/cat/fox girls) over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled. (Or just open, because peeled is something you do to a banana, not so much your eyeballs.)

Oh, and we're off to APE tomorrow! I'll be hanging around the Goblin-Fish Press table, in case ya wanna seeeee me.

seattle, ape, and indieparade!

Back from Seattle, and getting ready for APE this weekend, where Justin has a table again.

The plush show (PlushYou!) went great, and visiting Dan & Ada was fantastic! They have three great dogs, and three great chickens (I wish I'd taken some photos of their chickens, so cute!), and it was just amazing. Seattle is a super fun city, with lots to do. If you ever get the chance to visit, do it!

One of my owls, Bosco, also got featured over at www.indieparade.com, so that was a sweet thing to come back to, also! (Other than my car being rammed into. Ugh.)

halloween at JibJab + seattle updates

This one is from last year, one of my all-time favorites- I worked with Justin on it. The other four are from this year, I also did all the Monster Mash postables- with backgrounds provided by Justin- they were just flipped Live this morning, so check them out!

In other news, I travel on up to Seattle this Friday for the PlushYou! opening. I've never visited the city, so it should be a really good time. I just hope it's not too cold. I've also fully moved into the new apartment, so I'm arranging up my work space and everything. It's coming along nicely, if I do say so myself. I'll post some pictures once it looks respectable enough. I'm also working on some new plush, some commissions, and some new forest girl art dolls. I want to make a fox girl pretty badly, I think the tail would be magnificent.

So, a few mid-week updates are in order, I think.

Here's a ladybug I needle-felted a few weeks back, as a replacement gift for Sarah and Erin, whose Scott C. buttons got stolen by greedy mailmen. This time I taped the envelopes shut, and put a warning: Stealing makes Baby Jesus cry. Both ladybugs arrived intact. So, a shout-out to my homie Baby Jesus for helpin' make that happen.

Dolly the Deer Girl

This is the plush I've been working on for a little over a week now- stayed up late last night to finish her. I named her Dolly, and she's a deer girl (and yes, I know female deer don't have antlers.) I plan on working in this style on and off when I'm not making funny foods and monsters and simpler pieces. I really like her, maybe because she looks vaguely tired or pissed off.

She started off as this drawing I did at Joe's Diner.

The arms and legs and the line details in the hair are machine-sewn, but all the rest is hand-sewn, thus why it took so long to complete. The fabric I bought from hushbabyco on Esty, and the felt and other baubles are just bits I've collected over the years. Her eyes are safety plastic.

This particular doll won't be up for sale, as I'm keeping her to love for-ev-er, but I'll have some other ones up for sale by the end of the month, including a man with a giant moustache!

So, Halloween is just around the corner (not really, but shut up) and I'm going to dress my cat, Oliver, and myself, as Ewoks. So I did this little piece to just give you a small taste of my vision. BEHOLD!

Also, More to Love is starting to wrap up, and let me just say, I'm glad Anna is gone. Basically because I cannot stop making fun of her face. And when she says OH MY GOD, she sounds like what I imagine a harpy would. The rest of the girls are equal parts boring and pathetic, so I don't really care who wins. That's Tali below, sharing the frame with Luke and his super boobs.

One of Justin's toys- I got my new camera, so I was practicing taking pictures. It's a sea monster hopper guy!

Cool spider we saw outside Justin's apartment complex. He was very hard to shoot, as the camera wanted to autofocus on the plant behind him.

This is Bilius Ballsworth Ballington- my first needle-felted friend. He's a cardinal- I got a kit on needle-felting from fancytiger on Etsy.

This is old, but not old-old. It's a plush I made for a co-worker of her husband (who is also a co-worker). I haven't made a ton of dolls, and my first try at him turned out something close to HORRIBLE, so I completely restarted, and decided to stylize him more. Realistic dolls, in my opinion, just end up in that uncanny valley realm where it's just creep-tastic. So yeah.

Ringling finally posted the ADDY award winners, so I thought I would link you guys to my piece(s), in case you missed it at last years graduation ceremony. I ended up winning a Gold local ADDY, and a Silver regional ADDY.

Anyway, if you're perusing the Ringling site, check it out.

Oh yeah, and because I'll (hopefully) be moving soonishly, I must link you to this, because it's one of the few things keeping me sane. It's so friggin' beautiful, I would die a happy death if I could live in a place half a cool as that.

This is a thumb card I made, which was originally supposed to be the title card. The one they actually use for the video is boring, and makes me sad, so just pretend it's this.

This is ripped from the JibJab blog, because I'm not sure what we can post and what we can't. But what I CAN tell you is that I'm Meg White's body (its not just in silhouette in the full video) and I appear to be eaten by Charles Nelson Reilly. Justin appears too- he gets shot at by lasers. The video is friggin' awesome, so when it drops, I'll let you know.

This is a business card I'm finishing up for my plush biz. I think it's pretty awesome (not to toot my own horn or anything, even though I just did.) The back is blank so I can draw funny things on it when I send it to people, or write important infos on it when I'm giving it to people who need such things. It's one of 3 things I've actually designed for myself in the past 3 months. (That's sad, considering my profession is listed as Designer, but whatev.)

I'm also working on some new plush designs, whoo hoo, and a badass bear pattern that will save us all from destruction. I also plan on updating this thing more often again, since I don't have Comic-Con as an excuse.

P.S. We did really awesome there, and had a killer time. If you can, you should totally hit it up next year. We can hang out, it would be rad.

COMIC-CON 2009

Hey all! So I'll be at Comic-Con for the rest of this lovely week, joining my friends at the Goblin-Fish Press booth in the exhibitors section! If you're hitting up the Con, you should definitely stop by.

The boys of GFP have some FANTASTIC new products including buttons, 2 new beautiful postcard sets, 3 new monster prints from Justin, and a screen-print from Josh (with green sparkly metallic ink!) There's also many great prints, both old and new, books, puzzles, and magnets. Whew.

Also, I'll be there, in all my 5-foot-2-and-a-half-inch glory, so there really isn't anything holding you back, now is there? (There also might be a Bigfoot or two lurking around, so keep your eyes peeled! They're elusive!)
