crammed weekend for plush making

These are my entries for the show in June, since I'm sending them off pretty soon. That's a cat sidekick, bear hero, princess bunny, and EVIL UNICORN. I like his pants. I'm sending along some stickers and business cards they can pop into goody bags, and use for promotion. I can't wait to see the show, it's going to be a bonanza'o'awesome. (I included the last picture to show scale- these are a bit bigger than my usual fare. Plus, this is my first successful pair of pants.)

season 5

Xander: Where is he? Where's the creep that turned me into his spider-eating man-bitch?

Buffy: He's gone.

Xander: Dammit! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt-monkey!

Buffy: Check. No more butt-monkey.

We just started Season 5 of 7, and I thought I'd share. It's exciting times at the ole studio these days.

screenshot-o-rama

Tell me some of those little kids aren't the cutest things you've ever SEEN? So what's up with all the screenshot-ty goodness? Just finished two websites, so I thought I'd show a little sneak peek. By sneak peek, I mean.. the websites, pretty much, minus the clicking. :)

Oh, and I sold one of my cupcake twins on Etsy! And my plushies for Crammed Organisms are almost done, too. (I'm working on a princess bunny right now as the damsel-in-distress.) Oh, and my interview with R/GA went really well, so here's a round of happy for all.

HOORAY!! Plushies for all June long!

I got accepted into the Crammed Organisms Show!! Both Felicia and I were accepted just today, so that's super exciting. I can't tell you how badly I needed some really good news. I'm working on my four plushies right now- a hero (bear-monkey-monster), sidekick (not a bear), and perhaps two evil henchmen (retarded unicorns).

Extra special thanks to LUIS for letting me know about the show! I owe you a serious high five next time I see you!

Now it's time to celebrate with some Snopp Dogg and Rage Against the Machine! And cookies!

don't expect the cat back in

The New Site!

There's only a few rollovers, and only 3 pages right now, but I plan on really pimping it out after today since it's our last project. and I only have this one, and my creature feature font to "perfect" and then I will be done with Graphic Design classes for the next... well, few weeks, at least (I hope.) Tomorrow I have the Machines website due, and then, um... commencement program? Then nothing. I turn in my portfolio/business card/resume for inspection on Thursday and then it's just smooth sailing until portfolio night April 25th.

p.s. You should go to that. Because it will be AWESOME.

In other news, I'm 0/4 for BOR, but honestly- knew that was gonna happen. I'm more excited about our portfolio show to be honest, now that I know what's gonna be in BOR. The good part of submitting though was I got my Youngblood poster printed (FOR FREEEEEE) and that- I get to keep!

I also have a collab project with Mz. Felicia coming up. "HUGS NOT DRUGS." More work to come soon.

updates of sorts

This might be one of those posts that's a little all over the place. Oh well!

Other than the two websites, I've been working on a lot of little things in between meetings and presentations and the like. I just got over being sick for an entire week, so I feel a little behind in everything, even though I'm not.

Here's a coaster I worked on for the new Admissions packet Lenna is doing for the Design Center. She asked some of us to draw a little scene for a coaster to represent the top ten reasons someone should come to Ringling- mine was "you can have a full life- including swimming with the manatees" blah blah blah. I noticed how they skipped the part about all the wonderful construction. :P

This is my updated version of the HSSC website- I traded out Munson the dog for a Lhasa Apso named "Just Jack". It's due tomorrow, so I probably won't have time to put together everything I wanted to, but I'll get to it once finals are over.

sick girl takes day off- mayor says "whoa."

So there's like 3 and half weeks left of schoolCOLLEGE and I'm just trying to get everything in the clear before it's graduation time. I have a website due Monday, then another due Tuesday, and I'm sick with god-knows-what, so it's been a pretty fantastic week so far. I did get an interview with ReelFX (and a free tshirt- note to recruiters: bring swag, we love you long time) but I was all feverish and gross in it, so if they remember me, it will be because I probably looked like I was going to faint. Seems like they're only hiring CA's right now, but I'm going apply for their apprentice program and see how that goes.

Here's some recent work, though.

Work in progress of the re-vamped Humane Society website. You can find the original site in all it's super-fugley glory right HERE.
